VW racing returns to Little River - C'mon out! (Sat 9/12)

Back by popular demand, Little River Dragway will again host a VW drag race in (edit) late OCTOBER.

Racing clases will include open time trials/"fun-n-grudge", brackets, and the TxPRA Pro Stocks (killer 9 and 10 second VWs). Lots of fun, cash, and prizes are up for grabs.

ATTENTION VW STREET CAR GUYS & GALS:
We're happy to announce that this race will also include a VW STREET CLASS
Payout: $100 winner / $50 runner-up

In the spirit of true street cars, this is a "No Electronics" class and Department of Transportation (DOT) legal tires are required.

Cars must have current registration and inspection. Delay boxes/timers, throttle stops, and air or electric shifters are prohibited. The use of RPM limiting devices (i.e., a "Two Step") is allowed. Open to all Volkswagen powered vehicles.

Entry Fee: $10.00 (plus $15 for admission to the track)

VW STREET CLASS participants will get two time trials prior to the start of eliminations, along with additional passes which correspond with the number of rounds that they go.

In addition, the bonus purse for this event has grown to $1150!!

GOOD NEWS!!!

Although the rain kept the VW racers and fans away from Little River Dragway on 9/12, we've been able to reschedule.

The NEW DATE is Saturday, OCTOBER 24th. That gives everyone just over a month's worth of advanced notice to get cars ready and make plans to attend.

Due to the rescheduling of the Big Bug Shootout and related Unlimited Street class (click here for results and photos), participants in the VW STREET CLASS at Little River will have an extra $50 cash to shoot for. Payouts will extend down to semi finalists (thanks, Chad!).

That means that there is $200 up for grabs in the VW STREET CLASS, and $1000 in bonus cash for the VW BRACKET CLASS.

The forecast for this weekend looks awesome (shhhh! ), so I hope to see a bunch of VW racers and fans at Little River Dragway in Temple on Saturday 10/24.
